3 Judges get Super Time Scale, 7 Selection Grade

JAMMU, July 30: The Full Court, which met under the chairpersonship of Chief Justice, Gita Mittal, has accorded sanction to the placement of three Sessions Judges in the Super Time Scale of the Higher Judicial Service and seven District and Sessions Judges in the Selection Grade.
According to the order issued by Registrar General Jawad Ahmed, Kikar Singh Parihar, Abdul Rashid Malik and Inder Singh, District & Sessions Judges (Selection Time Scale) have been placed in the Super Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service with effect from 08.04.2020 against the vacancies caused due to the elevation of three officers of Super Time Scale as Judges of the High Court.
Mohan Singh Parihar, Mohd Ibrahim Wani, Sham Lal Lalhal, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Kouser Ahmad Qureshi, Ravinder Nath Wattal and Parvez Hussain Kachroo, District & Sessions Judges have been placed in the Selection Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service.
Consequent upon the recommendation of the High Court for acceptance of voluntary retirement of Zubair Ahmad Raza, Additional District & Sessions Judge Doda, he is attached to the Srinagar wing of the High Court till such time the recommendation for his voluntary retirement from service is accepted by the competent authority.
Moreover, Mehmood Ahmed Choudhary, District Judge, presently attached in the Jammu Wing of the High Court, has been transferred and posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Doda vice Zubair Ahmad Raza.
Seven Sessions Judges who were earlier appointed adhoc District & Sessions Judges have been confirmed/regularized against the substantative posts held by them with effect from the date they have assumed the charge of their adhoc/officiating appointment as District Judges.
They are Mirza Riyaz ul Haq, Vijay Singh Manhas, Masarat Roohi, Balbir Lal, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Kusum Lata Pandita, and Aijaz Ahmad Khan.
Meanwhile, the Judicial Officers, who have attained or attaining the age of 58/55/50 years and found fit and eligible for continuing as Judicial Officers per Rule 21 and 24 of the J&K Higher Judicial Service Rules 2009, are Kishore Kumar, Mohd. Ibrahim Wani, Zubair Ahmad Raza, Madan Lal, Masarat Shaheen, Mohd Akram Choudhary, Rajesh Sekhri, Jaffer Hussain Beg, S C Kattal, Virender Singh Bhou, Chain Lal Bavoria , Kamlesh Pandita and Rupali Ratta.
