POONCH, Nov 20: The police claimed to have recovered three girls allegedly kidnapped from Poonch area.
Official sources said that an information was received at Police Post Behramgalla on November 14, 2022 that three girls have been kidnapped which includes two minors and one major aged 16 yrs,17 yrs and 20 years from Poonch area.
Accordingly a case FIR No. 377/2022 was registered at Police Station Surankot and the investigation was taken up by I/C Police Post Behramgalla.
During investigation all the angles were investigated thoroughly and few suspects were picked up and put to sustained interrogation but no clue could be achieved.
Looking into the sensitivity of the case, SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra constituted a special team headed by SDPO Surankot Tanveer Jeelani.
PSI Sushant Singh picked up some more suspects and also took technical assistance of Cyber Cell of Poonch Police and kidnapped girls were recovered from Rajouri.
After fulfilling all legal formalities the girls were handed over to the legal heirs.
The swift and the prompt action of Poonch Police was lauded by the general public of the area.
