3 killed, 14 injured in different accidents

SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Three persons died while as 14 others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo JK09/3249 collided with a Santro Car EB-026083 at Tapper Crossing, Pattan, resulting in injuries to Santro driver, Haroon Rashid aged 26 years son of Abdul Rashid Dar resident of Hawal and Umer Bashir Bhat aged 30 years son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Hawal, Srinagar.
Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pattan where from injured Haroon was referred to SKIMS Soura, where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of Haroon was handed over to his next of kin for last rites.
A bus JK02A/9707 hit Gul Sofi aged 50 years son of Ghulam Muhammad Sofi resident of Sheikhpora-Kreeri, Baramulla near Choora-Tarzoo, resulting in his on spot death. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
An Alto car JK13B/2464 skidded off the road near police post Heerpora-Shopian, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Naseer Ahmad Hakla son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Tandkot-Darhal, Rajouri and Ishrat Jan Daughter of Ghulam Hassan Kalas resident of Saidpora, Shopian.  Both the injured were shifted to District hospital Shopian for treatment where Naseer Ahmad Hakla succumbed to his injuries.
A Tata Sumo JK09/3705 collided with a motorcycle near Bumhama-Kupwara, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Abdul Rashid Mir son of Muhammad Yousuf Mir resident of Bumhama. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Tata Mini-Bus JK04/9365 on way from Ganilara to Beerwah skidded off the road near Sadipora-Beerwah, resulting in injuries to 11 passengers. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
The police has taken cognizance in all the cases.
