3 killed, 15 hurt in Rajouri accident

RAJOURI, Oct 20: Three members of a family were killed while 15 other persons injured in a road accident in Bhindi-Jamola area of district Rajouri this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that the mishap took place when a mini-bus No JK-11/2621 which was on way to Rajouri town from Bhindi Jamola area, went out of control after mechanical failure and rolled down into a gorge at round 3.30 pm. All the passengers were traveling inside the bus and it was said to be under load.
Immediately after the accident, people of the area rushed to the site for rescue. The police team from Rajouri also arrived after some time. They rushed the injured persons to Rajouri hospital.
Three members of a family including two male children were killed on the spot. They were identified as Richa Devi alias Nancy (28), wife of Kuldip Raj, their 5 year old son, Aditya Sharma and 2-year-old son Shivanesh Sharma, residents of Dhanni Dhar, Rajouri. One seriously injured Chanchal Kumari ( Medical employee), wife of Jagdish Raj from CID (SB), Rajouri (Dangri) was referred to GMC Jammu.
Fourteen other injured undergoing treatment at Rajouri hospital are- Taro Devi, wife of Balkrishan from Dhanni Dhar; Fatima Bi, wife of Shah Jahan from Jamola; Kalsoom Akhtar, wife of Mohd Taj from Jamola; Nusrat, wife of Ajaz from Jamola; Kaleem Akhtar, wife of Mohd Reyaz from Jamola, Kashmira Wanti, wife of Punjab Singh from Narian; Rubina Kouser, wife of Imtiaz from Badoon; Tanveer Ahmed, son of Mohd Bashir from Badoon; Jasbir Singh, son of Angrez Singh from Jamola; Kamlesh Devi, wife of Krishan Lal from Jawahar Nagar Rajouri; Raj Kumar, son of Raja Ram from Dangri; Dr Heena Shaheen, wife of Abdul Wari from Rajouri; Mohd Zabeer, son of Mohd Afzal from Jamola and Netar Devi, wife of Sham Lal from Jamola village in Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
