SRINAGAR, June 21: Three persons were killed and 19 others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today, police said. Aleem Altaf Malla, 7, son of Altaf Ahmed Malla of Khanpora was killed when he was hit by a tipper (JK01A/5552) at Khanpora, Baramulla, police said. A pedestrian, Ali Mohammad Bangroo son of Abdul Rehman of Tengbagh Eidgah at Eidgah was hit and injured by a load carrier (JK04/7023) police said. Bangroo was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, for treatment. In another accident, a Tata Sumo (JK10/1768) on way from Srinagar to Magam hit and injured a woman, Fazia Begum, 75, wife of Ghulam Mohammad Kaloo of Narbal at main market Narbal, police said. She was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, for treatment. In an another accident, a 12th class student, Shabir Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din resident of Bazipora, Ajas of Higher Secondary School Ajas was injured when he fell down from a bus at Bazipora Ajas. He was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, for treatment, police said. Two girls, Insha Rashid, 17, daughter of Abdul Rashid of Bemina and Anam Farooq, 16, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Mir of Safa Kadal were injured when a motorcycle (JK01/0573) hit them near Baghat. The motorcyclist, Mutaib, also received injuries in the accident. All the injured were shifted to Bones and joint Hospital Srinagar where from Insha and Mutaib were referred to SKIMS, Soura, for further treatment. In another accident, a motorcycle (JK09/711) met with an accident at Janbazpora, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and a pillion. Both the injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment. In Budgam district, two passengers were killed and 13 others injured when a passenger mini-bus 8328/JK04 traveling from Magam to Iskandarpora turned upside down at Iskandarpora in Khag area, police said. All the injured were shifted to a hospital. Among the injured a woman, Haseena wife Irshad Ahmad Parray of Gooripora, and a man, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantary of Wata Magam succumbed on way to the hospital, police said.
