3 killed, 2 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, June 12:  Three persons were killed and two others injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley, police said.
A Tanker (JK02R/0975) fell into a gorge in between India Gate and Captain Mode on Zoji la, resulting in injuries to its driver Ashok Kumar, son of Dathu Ram of Reasi. Kumar succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, police said.
A truck (JK02AA/7904) hit and injured a woman Maryama Begum, wife of Mohammad Ayoub Shah of Dobiwan Magam at Main Chowk, Magam. She was shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar, where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.
A driver of a Maruti car (JK03/4674) was injured when his vehicle rammed into a wall at Qaimoh, Kulgam, police said. He has been identified as Mohammad Yousuf Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool of Wanpora. Dar succumbed to his injuries at District Hospital, police said.
A Truck (JK03/0221) hit and injured a woman Rubeena Akhter, wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Hajam at Ichgam, Budgam. She was shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar, for treatment.
A pedestrian Ghulam Mohammad Dar son of Ghulam Ahmad of Beerwah, Khag, Budgam, was injured when an unidentified tipper hit him at Magarmal Bagh, here, police said. Dar was shifted to hospital for treatment.
