KATHUA, July 1: Three persons including a three year old girl were killed and three others seriously injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling hit a safety wall on National Highway at Logate Morh near here today.
The accident took place when a passenger vehicle bearing Registration Number, HR26AL 7273 was on the way from Jammu to Uttar Pradesh collided with safety wall on National Highway at Logate after its tyre burst.
As the ill fated vehicle was badly damaged, six passengers out of seven travelling in it got injured. They were shifted to GMC Kathua in critical condition. Out of six critically injured persons, three succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased were identified as Adrish, son of Sharief Kamal and Shaad son of Sarfraz, residents of Bijnour, UP and three year old Shaiba daughter of Shamim who too succumbed to her injuries in the hospital later.
Two others were referred to GMC Jammu and one is under treatment in GMC Kathua. The injured were identified as Subi daughter of Adrish , Mohammed Sharief, son of Nisar Ahmed and Niam, son of Tushan. All are residents of Uttar Pradesh. Kathua police has registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
