RAMBAN, July 28: Three persons were killed in road accidents at different locations of the district.
As per police sources, a driver and his associate were killed, when the truck bearing registration number JK02AU-4485 they were traveling in from Jammu to Srinagar rolled down into 300 meters deep gorge near Sherbibi area of Banihal Tehsil.
The deceased have been identified as Sulinder Singh, son of Bodh Raj and Payar Singh, son of Bachander Singh, both residents of Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur.
After conducting autopsy, the bodies of the deceased have been handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 114/17 under Section 279 and 304-A RPC has been registered at police station Banihal and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a truck bearing registration number PB06L-9155 was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle near Darshipora in Tehsil Banihal, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
The body of the deceased identified as Harnam Singh, son of Daleep Singh of Gurdaspur Punjab has been shifted to SDH Banihal for completing medical and legal formalities.
A case in this regard has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
