JAMMU, Mar 20: Three persons including a young girl today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences in different parts of Jammu region.
According to police sources, a girl identified as Monika (22) daughter of Melo Ram, a resident of Kishtwar, at present living in Panjirthi, Jammu, today made a vain attempt to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
Similarly, one Ajay Kumar (35) son of Thoru Ram, a resident of Krishna Nagar (Jammu) also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. In another case, a man identified as Surjeet Singh (35) son of Harwinder Singh, a resident of Sehora (Bishnah) also consumed some poisonous substance at his home.
All the three victims were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. The condition of all the three persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
