JAMMU, July 28: Three medical shops have been sealed in Rajouri by the district authorities for violation of Drugs Cosmetics Act 1940.
Official sources said that on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohd Aijaz Asad, team comprising of Assistant Controller Drug, Rajouri Rajesh Angurana, Tehsildar Rajouri and Drug Inspectors with Police assistance today inspected 22 Medical shops located in vicinity of District Hospital Rajouri to ensure that various provisions of Drugs Cosmetics Act 1940 are implemented in letter and spirit.
During the inspection the team sealed 3 Medical shops namely Healthways Medical Hall, Pir Panchal Medical Hall and Peace Medicose for violation of various sections of Drug Cosmetics Act 1949 by non-maintenance of sale and purchase records and absence of qualified persons. The team also collected 14 drug samples for Lab testing and analysis to ascertain quality of drugs.
