3 militants among 16 declared as proclaimed offenders

DODA, Aug 28: Police here today launched a special drive against absconders and wanted criminals and declared 16 of them, who were wanted in various cases of heinous nature, as proclaimed offenders by the orders of Court.
Three of these 16 criminals are militants and property of two of the absconders was also attached after their proclamation was declared by the Court.
Pertinent to mention here is that property (land) measuring 12 Kanal and 18 Marla situated at Mugal Maidan Kishtwar belonging to proclaimed offender Lal Din, son of Noor Din, resident of Dul Mugal Maidan (Kishtwar) has been attached for his involvement in a criminal case registered in FIR number 10/2018 at Police Station Dessa.
Property (land) measuring 4 Kanal 2 ½ Marla situated at village Phagsoo Thathri belonging to proclaimed offender and hardcore terrorist Abdul Rashid, son of Arsulla Khanday, resident of Khanpura, Tehsil Phagsoo, District Doda presently in PoJK was attached for his involvement in a criminal case registered in FIR number 23/1997 at Police Station Thathri.
It is pertinent to mention here that proclamation was ordered by the Court against most wanted absconders and hardcore terrorists on proceedings initiated by Doda Police and these absconders are Mohd Amin alias Khubaib, son of Dawood Bhat, resident of Kathawa, Tehsil Phagsoo, District Doda and Mohd Ashraf, son of Shamas Din resident of, Kakoo, Tehsil Gandoh, District Doda who are also presently in PoJK.
These terrorists after joining militancy in early nineties and remained involved in terror related incidents like attack on civilians, security forces and arsons had ex-filtrated to PoJK and are still there.
Apart from them, the other absconders who were also wanted in various crimes of heinous nature and were declared as proclaimed offenders on the proceedings initiated by Doda Police were Irshad Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Batote at present Nagar, Bhaderwah; Ram Singh, son of Dalair Singh, resident of Punakar, Tehsil Gundna, District Doda; Parshotan Singh, son of, Paras Ram, resident of Draman Thanote, Tehsil Rajgarh, District Ramban; Parman Singh, son of Krishan Singh, resident of Mandole, Tehsil Kastigarh, District Doda; Balbir Singh, son of Doulat Ram, resident of Kellar Bhaderwah; Rattan Singh, son of Swami Raj, resident of Choundary, Tehsil Bhalla; Sajjad Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat, resident of Chilli Pingal; Ankush Kumar, son of Satpaul, resident of Chirya, Tehsil Thathri; Shah Din alias Saleem, son of Abdul Majeed Bhat, resident of Trankal, Tehsil Kahara District Doda; Shah Din, son of Faqeer Mohd, resident of Trankal, Tehsil Kahara; Bashir Ahmed, son of Mohd Mussa Gujjar, resident of Malath, Tehsil Chilli Gandoh and Ghulam Qadir, son of Mehar Bakash Gujjar, resident of Malath Kuti Gehsil Gandoh.
Doda Police is in process of initiating proceedings under section 82/83 CrPC against other local terrorists who have remained involved in terror related activities in District Doda during militancy in the past and presently in PoJK wherefrom they are now alluring the local youth of the District through virtual mode to joint terror fold and revive militancy in District Doda.
When contacted SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom informed that the absconders also include three militants while the details of property of the remaining 14 absconders is being collected and similar action awaits them.
