3 militants arrested, NC worker shot at

SRINAGAR, May 13: Security forces today arrested a militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit from Verinag area of Dooru in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A joint team of Army’s 19 RR and SOG Dooru today afternoon carried out a raid at Panzwa village and apprehended the militant Hilal Ahmad Naikoo son of Ali Mohammad Naikoo from his home.

Hilal is an active militant of JeM. “Some arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession,” a police official said.
Two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested along with arms and ammunition from Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district last night.
A joint team of police and SOG during a raid at Hajin area last night arrested two OGWs of LeT. They have been identified the Mohammad Iqbal Wani and Zahoor Ahmad Parray.
Two hand grenades, two AK magazines along with 60 rounds of AK series were recovered from their possession. A case (FIR number 18/2019 under Section 7/25 IA Act and 18 ULA) has been registered and further investigations have been taken up.
Zahoor Ahmad is the brother of LeT militant commander Mohammad Saleem Parray.
And militants tonight barged into the house of a National Conference (NC) worker in Shopian district of South Kashmir and fired at him. Identified as Sajjad Ahmad Ganai, he has been hit in the leg. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Zainpora.
Militants also barged into the house of another NC worker in the village and beat him up. He has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Gania.
