KATHUA, Mar 22: Three more candidates today filed their nomination papers from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituency which will go to polls in first phase on April 19.
The candidates who filed their nomination papers today include Amit Kumar and Tilak Raj from BSP and an Independent Swarn Veer Singh Jaral.
They filed their papers before Returning Officer Rakesh Minhas at Kathua.
With the filing of nomination papers by three candidates today, the total tally of candidates who have filed their candidature for Udhampur Lok Sabha seat has gone up to five.
Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and sitting MP from Udhampur-Doda seat has already field his papers as a BJP candidate seeking third term. A covering candidate of the BJP has also filed the papers.
The last day for filing of nomination papers is March 27.
