NOWSHERA, July 30: The police arrested three persons and seized a car after they were found having brown sugar in possession during the checking of the vehicle in Sunderbani area of district Rajouri.
A police naka party headed by ASI Sudarshan Sharma near ITI Complex Sunderbani on highway, noticed a Maruti 800 car registered as JK02P/ 6331 (Sky blue color) driven by Rahul Sharma, son of Goutam Sharma, resident of Shant Nagar, Janipur Jammu. The police stopped the vehicle which was coming from Rajouri towards Sunderbani and two more persons besides driver were on board.
During physical search, police party recovered five grams brown sugar from the possession of Rahul Sharma, nearly same quantity from Mohit Baba, son of Sham Lal, both residents of Shant Nagar, Janipur Jammu and 8 grams brown sugar from the possession of Parvaiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Seri Khawaja in Poonch.
A total of 18 grams brown sugar was recovered from their possession. The operation was carried out under the close supervision Additional SP Nowshera, Master Popsy and SHO Sunderbani, Inspector Tilak Raj. A case FIR No. 82/2018 U/S 8/21/22/29/NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station, Sunderbani.
