UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: Police arrested three narco smugglers at Rehambal , here today and seized 10 grams of heroin like substance from their possession.
During routine checking at Phalata, national highway, a police team from Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO, Inspector Pushpinder Singh, intercepted a Zen car bearing registeration number JK01J-8888, in which three persons, including the driver, were travelling.
Police recovered 10 grams of heroin like contraband substance from the car following which all the three persons were arrested. They were identified as driver Sehran Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmed of Aali Kaldal Srinagar, Mudasir Firoz, son of Late Firoz Ahmed of Srinagar and Saqib Latif Daga, son of Latief Ahmed Daga of Mehraj Ganj, Srinagar.
In this connection, a case FIR Under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Rehambal and the investigation is going on to unearth the backward and forward linkages.
