RAMBAN, Jan 9: Police here today arrested three smugglers of narcotic substances and recovered intoxicants—Charas and Heroin from their possession.
The smugglers were travelling in a car on Sangaldan Gool road.
Police sources informed that on the directions of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma, cops from Police Post Sangaldan intercepted a car bearing registration number JK0CS-4036 while it was on way to Gool from Sangaldan.
Three persons including the driver of the car were on board the vehicle which was stopped for checking during which 350 gm Charas was recovered from the dashboard of the car.
During personal search of the trio seven gm Heroin each was recovered from the pockets of Yasir Arfat, son of Ghulam Rasool and Mohammad Waris, son of Mohd Shafi, both residents of Jaman, Gool whereas 12 gm Heroin was recovered from the pocket of Tafheem Malik, son of Bashir Malik, resident of Bandhan, Sangaldan.
The trio was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
Police sources informed that the trio was booked in a case of FIR number 02 of 2024 under section 8/20/21/29 NDPS registered at Police Station Gool.
They said that investigation of the case was going on.
