KATRA, Mar 17: Police arrested three notorious drug peddlers and recovered 1.5 kg marijuana from their possession.
The accused were travelling in an auto-rikshaw on way from Kakryal side towards Katra town. Police team of Police Station Katra, led by SHO Katra Khyatiman Khajuria and SDPO Katra Bhisham Dubey, intercepted this auto- rickshaw bearing Registration number JK20-0887.
During checking, 1.5 kg marijuana like substance was recovered from the three persons namely Sandeep Singh, son of Bansi Lal of Kaithi (Ramban), Ashish Kumar, son of Rajmal Singh of Teliband Chowk, Raipur Chattisgarh and Sonu, son of Rishipal of Budhanpur Chattisgarh.
A case FIR No. 73/2025 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Katra and investigation is ongoing to unearth backward and forward linkage.
