JAMMU, Mar 28: Three officials have been suspended for violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
As per official spokesman, District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora has put two officers of Department of Health under suspension for violating MCC.
After initial investigation by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora who is also Nodal Officer for Model Code of Conduct, it was prima-facie established that the two officers attended a political meeting that was attended by a contesting candidate which is a case of violation of MCC and misconduct under service rules on part of these officers.
DEO also directed the Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora to conduct a detailed inquiry into the conduct of both the officers and has asked him to submit his report with the recommendation for taking further disciplinary action against them under law. Both the officers have been attached with the office of Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora.
Meanwhile, DEO Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today suspended a Field worker SFC, East Division Kishtwar for violating MCC.
The order issued by DEO Kishtwar reads that the photograph of field Worker of SFC East Division Kishtwar was circulating on social media which was received from Chief Electoral Officer of J&K and was forwarded to Nodal Oficer MCC/law and order District Kishtwar for enquiry.
The enquiry officer has reported that the said the said person despite being a Government employee of SFC Kishtwar has attended the political meeting on 23/3/2019 which has been substantiated with the photographs in gross violation of MCC.
Acting tough against the gross violation of MCC, DEO Kishtwar suspended Field worker SFC, East Division Kishtwar, who will remain attached with the office of Divisional Manager SFC East Division Kishtwar during the period of suspension.
DEO further warned all the officers and officials not to indulge in any political activities and abide the Model Code of Conduct in letter and spirit otherwise stern action shall be initiated against those who so try to violate the Model code of conduct.
