3 OGWs arrested in Kulgam

SRINAGAR, Jan 8: Security forces today arrested three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of militants in Kulgam district of South Kashmir and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
A police spokesman said that a joint team of security forces arrested an OGW identified as Ubaid Khurshid Mir of Thokerpora Qaimoh in Kulgam district, during checking on National Highway-NH-44. He said that during searches one AK-47 rifle, four AK-47 magazines, 120 AK-47 rounds, two hand grenades and one ammunition pouch were recovered.
However, an official said that three OGWs were arrested and 2 AK series rifles, 5 hand grenades and 240 rounds of AK-47 were recovered from them. He said that a case under FIR. No. 02/2025 U/s 13,18, 39 ULAP Act was registered in Police Station Qaimoh, Kulgam and investigations have been taken up.
