SAMBA, May 7: Samba police has disengaged three Special Police Officers (SPOs) from services for dereliction of duties and involvement in NDPS case while disposing of two separate departmental enquiries initiated against them.

Officials said the two SPOs namely Daljeet Singh No. 633/DS and SPO, Bali Ram No. 494/DS have been disengaged in case FIR No. 93/2023 registered at Police Station, Ramgarh while disposing of the two separate departmental inquiries which were initiated against them.
The officials said the duo were arrested in gruesome murder case registered against them at Ramgarh Police Station but they escaped from the police custody. The two SPOs have been disengaged from services for dereliction of duties by SSP Samba on the basis of recommendation of Enquiry Officer, officials said.
The SPO namely Deepak Singh No. 33/DS has been disengaged for his involvement in case FIR No. 172/2023 registered under relevant sections of NDPS Act at Police Station Samba. The SPO has been disengaged from services by SSP Samba on the basis of recommendation of Enquiry Officer, the officials said.
