3-storey house gutted in Budhal

RAJOURI, May 24: A three-storey house was completed reduced to ashes after a major fire broke out at village Gabbar in Budhal area of Rajouri district last night.
Official sources said that in ward number 6 of Gabbar village, in Budhal tehsil of Rajouri district, a fire broke out in a big house, apparently due to short circuit on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, Emtire house was reduced to ashes along with the property and and other house hold items. Food items, clothes, beds etc. also turned into a pile of ashes with in minutes.
The police said Mohammad Munshi, whose house suddenly caught fire due to electric short circuit at midnight, could only get his family members out of the house. A terrible fire caught in wooden house. Hearing the screams, the people around gathered there and called more people on the spot by contacting the mobile, but due to non-availability of fire brigade, people faced a lot of difficulty in extinguishing the fire. Even after many hours of hard work, people could not control the fire and all the things kept inside along with the house, furniture, clothes, etc. got burnt and turned into a pile of ashes.
Naib Sarpanch Arshad Hussain Mir said that the victim was feeding his family by working hard and rearing goats and cattle, but this terrible fire took away everything from him and he along with the family was living in the open sky on the road. He appealed the district administration and the local administration to immediately help the person so that he could be able to take care of his children.
