3 students hurt in school bus- bike collision

NOWSHERA, July 31: Three students from National Public School Nowshera were injured when a school bus  after brake failure, collided with a two wheeler at Thalka near Nowshera today.
Block Medical Officer Nowshera, Dr Iqbal Malik said that three injured students were brought to the SDH Noweshera after they received injuries in a road accident today. One of the injureds, Vivek Syal (17), son of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Narian, sustained a head injury and was referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for further treatment.
Devakar (17), son of Vinod Kumar, also a resident of Narian, suffered polytrauma and was also referred to GMC Jammu while Manpreet Singh (17), son of Gurcharan Singh from Narian, experienced head trauma and was referred to GMC Rajouri.
Besides them, Umar Khan (23), son of Mohd Farooq and the driver of the bus, sustained blunt trauma to the abdomen. He received first- aid at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera and was discharged after some time.
Meanwhile, the police has taken cognizance of the matter.
