3 thieves arrested with stolen items, cash

KATHUA, Dec 25: Lakhanpur police worked out a theft case with the arrest of three burglars and recovery of stolen items and cash.
As per police sources, a complaint was filed by Rajesh Kumar, son of Harbans Lal of Hatli with Police Station Lakhanpur stating that during the intervening night of December 22 and 23, some unknown persons have stolen his battery, jeck, road, pana, deck, amplifier, cash and chillers approximately Rs 10000 from his mini-bus bearing registration number JK02T-3277.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 126/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Lakhanpur Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Lakhanpur Police Station nabbed three thieves and recovered stolen items on their disclosure from different areas.
The arrested persons have been identified as Krishan Singh alias Anku, son of Jeet Singh of Basantpur District Kathua, Harbans Lal alias Chuggi, son of Romesh Chander and Anant Kumar, son of Romesh Chander, both residents of Danna District Kathua.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Lakhanpur Inspector Kulbir Singh worked out the theft case and arrested the burglars under the supervision of DySP DAR Parul Bhardwaj, Additional SP Kathua Sanjay Parihar and SSP Kathua Suleman Choudhary.
