JAMMU, Apr 27: RS Pura police arrested three thieves and recovered stolen items worth several lakhs from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station conducted series of raids and finally arrested three thieves.
From the possession of the thieves, police team recovered 4 motorcycles, 5 water hand pumps, water motors and many more items.
The accused persons were identified as Sunny Kumar, son of Raj Kumar, Manjeet Kumar, son of Arjun Dev and Ashwani Kumar, son of Rattan Lal, all residents of RS Pura.
The arrested persons have confessed to the crime and made police to recover the stolen property from different locations in the town.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan, SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid and SSP Jammu Sridhar Patil.
