3 traders challaned by food safety officers

JAMMU, Nov 30: In order to ensure availability of  wholesome  food articles especially milk & milk  products to the consumer at large,  a  team of the Food Safety officers namely  Daleep Singh, Ajay Khajuria, Jai Inder Singh & Hans Raj  under the supervision of Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Controller Food, (MLJ), Drugs & Food Control Organization, J&K, Jammu, carried out  inspection of  food business operators  in the areas of Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Sarwal, Rehari, Talab Tillo and lifted 12 samples of different food articles  that includes six samples of Milk, two of curd, two of Khoya, one each of  Ajowan and PanMasala.
All the food business operators indulging in selling of milk & milk products have been directed to procure the milk from the registered mobile vendors. Besides, sale of the 30 Kg of Khoya has been stopped till the analytical report is received from the Laboratory. Moreover, three challans against the defaulters indulging in selling of food articles  under insanitary and unhygienic conditions has been recommended and be filed before the competent court in due course of time.
