JAMMU, Jan 4: Three persons working with Bharat Gas agency in Mendhar, Poonch, became unconscious and turned ill due to asphyxiation while asleep in a rented room at Mendhar town.
The trio, identified as Nitin Sharma, son of Kewal Sharma of Jhalas Poonch, Jagjit Singh and Bali Mohd son of Mohd Sadiq of Dera Mendhar. Jagjit Singh was working as driver while Kewal and Mohd Sadiq as helper with the Bharat Gas Agency in Mendhar.
Last night, they fell asleep without turning off gas heater in their room, adjoining the agency.
This morning around 11 am, when other employees of the Gas agency did not find the trio on work, they went to their room and found them lying unconscious. They were shifted to local hospital where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu. Till last reports, they were responding to the treatment.
