UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: Continuing its endeavour to stop the illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Police today seized three vehicles involved in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur.
Reports said that a team of Police Post Battal Ballian, led by Inspector Raghubir Singh, SHO Police Station Udhampur, and assisted by ASI Kamal Sharma Incharge Post Battal Ballian, seized three vehicles which were carrying sand and gravels illegally extracted from river beds.
The seized vehicles, bearing registration numbers JK14G- 8418, JK14F- 0887 and JK14J- 8839 , were later on handed over to Geology and Mining Department for further legal action.
