JAMMU, Aug 29: In a drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators, Jammu Police has initiated strict action against the criminals involved in illegal mining and minting money out of the public resources.
In a surprise operation which was carried at different locations in Rural zone of district Jammu, Police Post Sidhra seized one tractor trolley bearing chasis number MBNAK49ADMTG3676 as it was found loaded with sand without having Form-A.
Similarly, Police Post Manwal seized one dumper bearing registration number JK21G-0036 involved in illegal mining and BPP Sandwan seized one tractor trolley without having any registration number. Both the vehicles were loaded with sand without having Form A.
After seized these vehicles, District Mining Officer was informed for necessary legal actions.
