UDHAMPUR, July 6: Udhampur Police today seized three vehicles involved in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdiction of Police Post Tikri.
Reports said that a Police team, headed by IC PP Tikri, PSI Abdul Satar seized three tippers from Manthal area of Tikri having registration number JK02BJ-7986, JK14F-9075 and JK14B-9725 indulged in illegal extraction and transporting of construction material from river bed.
All the seized vehicles were y handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Udhampur for further legal proceedings.
While giving the details, SSP Udhampur, Dr Vinod Kumar conveyed that Udhampur Police was committed for protecting the public property and to eradicate the menace of illegal mining from the area.
