RAJOURI, May 10: The police seized three vehicles and recovered 14 bovines animals being smuggled to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
Reports said Thannamandi police led by SHO Javed Malik intercepted Tata Mobile vehicles JK22/ 1325 and JK-11B/4395 last night near Thanna bridge and found 11 bovine animals loaded in it. The vehicles were on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
The police seized vehicles along with cattle and arrested its drivers namely, Manzoor Ahmed of Shopian and Wasim Akram of Palangar in Thannamandi.
Another Tata Mobile vehicle No. Jk02/8886 loaded with three cattle was seized by police in Manjakote area tonight and arrested its driver. He has been identified as Mohd Asif hailing from Nali village in Rajouri. The police has registered cases in this connection.
