3 women among 4 dead in road mishaps

Srinagar, Sept 23: Four persons including three women died in two separate road mishaps in Kashmir today.
Two persons were killed while another one was injured after an oil tanker hit a motorcycle near Nowgam Chowk in Srinagar this afternoon.
The two persons died on the spot while another one was injured after the oil Tanker hit a motorcycle.
The deceased have been identified as Yasir Aziz Dar, 25, son of Abdul Aziz Dar of Awantipora and Kamiyah Showkat daughter of Showkat Ahmad Khan of Pulwama
The injured identified as Shoaib Tanveer son of Tanveer Ahmad Bhat of Pulwama was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.
In the meantime, 50-year-old mother and her daughter in-law were killed this evening in a road accident in Keema village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The mishap took place on Bandipora-Sopore road at Keema village after a vehicle bearing registration number JK15A-0199 hit two ladies and left them critically injured.
The injured were shifted to District Hospital Bandipora for treatment where from the duo were shifted to Srinagar.
The injured lady identified as Fancy Begum, wife of Firdous Ahmad of Keema, who was three-month-old pregnant succumbed to her injuries while on way to the hospital at Ajas.
Another injured woman identified as Hajira Bagem, 50, wife of Abdul Ahad Dar of Keema also succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of vehicle identified as Sajad Ahmad son Gulam Mohuddin Dar of Keema has been arrested and his vehicle has also been seized.
