3 women among 4 killed in mishaps

Srinagar, Dec 17:  Four persons including three women were killed in separate road mishaps in Kashmir valley today.
Two women were killed in a road mishap tonight at Nundreshi Colony in Bemina Bypass. They have been identified as  Ruksana, 55,wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan of Baran Pather Batamaloo and Safia Rashid, 45, daughter of Mohammad Ismail Mir of Nund-Reshi Colony Batamaloo. They were crossing the road when they were hit by a speedy truck. Police have registered a case.
A 24-year-old man was killed and three other were seriously injured when a Tata- sumo overturned in Chrar-e-sharief area of Budgam district today.
The man identified as Mazoor Ahmad was sitting in the back of white Tata sumo when it overturned in Chrar-e-Sharif area. The Tata Sumo, bearing registration number JK04A-9257, was on his way to Chadoora. Manzoor  was taken to hospital along with the other injured where he was declared dead.
The injured have been identified as Zubair Ahmad Ganier son of Nazir Ahmad, Mohammad Ilyas  Yatoo son of Ali Mohammad and Gh Mohidin Ghanie  son of Gh Rasool. All the injured were the residents of Watkalo Chadoora. Meanwhile, police have registered a case.
In another incident, a Sumo bearing registration number JK08A-5082 hit and injured a pedestrian, Khatija wife of Abdul Samad Chopan resident of Kemigund Uttraso at Halkha Uttraso, in Police Station Achabal. The injured woman succumbed to her injuries while on way to hospital.
After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites. Anantnag police has registered a case in this regard.
In Handwara, a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK01X- 2345 hit and injured a boy Adnan Hameed Mala resident of Super Naghama Kralgund near flourmills Watayan in the jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Handwara for treatment wherefrom he was referred to Srinagar hospital for further treatment.
Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.
