JAMMU, Nov 16: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, Kartar Singh today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 15000 to a Bangladeshi national, who was facing trial for entering into India without valid documents.
According to prosecution case, on January 13, 2012 Janipur Police arrested a Bangladeshi namely Mohd Mamoon when he was moving under suspicious circumstances near High Court Chowk. When asked, he could not produce any proof of document of his entry into India. Accordingly, he was arrested and after completion of investigation challan was presented against him under Section 14 Foreigners Act and 3/6 Passport Act.
After hearing both the sides, Principal Sessions Judge convicted the Bangladeshi national and awarded him three years rigorous imprisonment.
