JAMMU, Nov 6: CJM Jammu, S R Gandhi today awarded three years Rigorous Imprisonment to a mini-bus driver, who was facing trial for crushing to death a two year old child at Chinore on January 30, 2005.
After hearing CPO Sanjay Kohli appearing for the State, CJM observed, “it is proved by the prosecution beyond any reasonable doubt that the accused while driving the matador in rash and negligent manner caused the death of a 2 year old child”.
Accordingly, the accused was convicted and sentenced to the Rigorous Imprisonment of three years and fine Rs 1000.
