Over 30 absentee Govt employees suspended

MENDHAR,  Nov 18: Over thirty  Government employees were placed under suspension while several offices were found locked when a team led by  Ist Class  Magistrate (Naib Tehsildar)  on the directions of  Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar  visited Balakote block in district Poonch during the day today.
Official sources said that Ist Class Magistrate  Balakote, Ashfaq Ahmed Fani during visit at around 11 AM found the offices of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO),  Agriculture  Deptt, Sheep Husbandry Deptt,  Cooperatives Department  and  a local health sub centre locked. The CDPO office was though opened but only peon was found present there while CDPO, Supervisors, clerical staff was found absent  there at  around 11 am.
At Primary Health Centre, Dhar Galoon out of fourteen staff members just five were present. At Govt Higher Secondary School,  Dhar Galoon  three Gazetted and seven Non-Gazetted employees were  found absent.  At Govt Middle Schools,   Khanetar and Dhar Galoon four teachers were found absent from duty.  At GMS Hasan out of eight employees, six were found absent and only two teachers were attending classes.
Another team led by Ist Class Magistrate (NT) Mendhar, Aftab Hussain Shah visited Govt  Middle Schools Raillan and found five teachers Asha Kumari, Smita Rani, Mohd Sufeer, Mohd Mushtaq and Mohd Ashfaq absent.  At Govt Primary Schools Kanglara Drana, Lanjiot and Basooni and GHS Drana, he found teachers Salima Bi,  Mohd Qasim,  Abdul Sattar, Mohd Mushtaq and  Rubina Kouser (Lab Asst) absent from duty.
After the Revenue officers  submitted the report to the SDM Sher Singh in the afternoon, he placed all the absentee staff under suspension and sought the explanation of the heads of the offices which were found locked during the visit. The  salary of all these employees has been stopped.
