30 bovines rescued, smuggling bid foiled

POONCH, May 11: The police rescued 30 bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers while foiling bid of cattle smuggling in Surankote area.
On the direction of SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra teams headed by DySP Surankote Abdul Hamid, SHO Police Station Surankote Rajveer Singh and I/C PP Behramgalla Rajat Nanawat established nakas at Behramgalla. During checking apprehended two bovine smugglers namely Fareed Ali, son of Showket Ali and Arfakat Hussain, son of Mohd Sahrief, both residents of Mendhar, who were trying to smuggle 30 bovines on foot and beating them in a cruel manner. All the bovines were rescued. On checking, they were found without any permission. On this FIR has been registered at PS Surankote u/s 188/IPC/11PC Act.
