30 Govt schools, one road named after martyrs

JAMMU, Aug 14: On the eve of Independence Day, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir today ordered naming of 30 Government Schools and one Link road after the martyrs.
These schools are situated in district Budgam, Kupwara, Kulgam, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Shopian, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Samba, Poonch and Jammu while the Link Road from Billawar to Sukrala in Kathua district has been named after Martyr Tilk Raj (Sepoy).
As per the order, Government Higher Secondary School, Gundla and Government Middle School, Thalian/Danwal Camp, Panchayat Troti in Tehsil Khour of Jammu district have been named after Martyr Kuldeep Kumar (SgCt) and Martyr Mohan Lal Sharma (ASI), respectively.
In district Budgam, Government Middle School Gotpora has been named after Martyr Abdul Aziz Dar (SI) while Government Primary School Banpora Gundipora has been named after Martyr Chand Mohammad Khan (Constable).
In Kupwara district, Government Middle School Balhama Batpora, Government Middle School Hirri Balla, Govt Primary Boys School Bakiakher, Handwara, Govt Middle School Kumkari, MS Shatphalla Tangdhar and HSS Cheki Hatmulla, have been named after Martyrs Amanullah Khan (SI), Amir Hassan Lone (SgCT), Ghulam Mohiudin CT), Gulzar Ahmad Shah (CT), Kafeel Ahmad Mir (ASI) and Abdul Rashid Malik (Inspector), respectively.
Government Boys Middle School Chawalgam has been named after Martyr Mohammad Yaqoob Shah (HGCT) while Govt Boys MS Matipora Ajas and Govt Primary School, Bonikhan, Hajin have been named after martyr Abdul Khalid Bhat (Head Constable) and Martyr Zahoor Ahmad, respectively.
Govt MS Repora Bala and Govt Primary School Gundwayen in Ganderbal district have been named after martyr Gh Mohidin Sheikh ( Constable) and Martyr Mehraju Din Thaway, respectively.
In Shopian district, Govt Upper Primary School, Heerpora and Govt Girls High School, Batapora have been named after Martyr Gohwar Ahmad Wani and Martyr Amit Kaul (Lieutenant), respectively.
Seven schools in Baramulla district, including Govt Girls Middle School, Hariwantoo, Govt Boys MS Lagma, Govt Girls PS Namblaq, Govt MS Garkote, Govt MS Saidpora, Govt PS Naik Mohalla Singhpora Kalan and Govt Boys MS Mamoosa have been named after Martyr Abdul Rashid Bhat, Mulk Raj, Gh Mohd Mir, Bashir Ahmad Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Paramvir Singh and Ab Khalid Wani, respectively.
Govt PS Nagbal, Panzath in Anantnag has been named after Martyr Rashid Shah (ASI) while Govt MS Pinglena and GHS Dogripora have been named after Martyr Mohammad Ashraf Dar (Inspector) and Feroz Ahmad Dar (SI), respectively.
GHS Nichla in Samba district has been named after Martyr Roshan Lal (Havaldar) while Govt Girls PS Seri and Govt Girls MS Ajote in Poonch district have been named after martyr Mohd Mushtaq Malik (SgCt) and Seva Singh (Subedar), respectively.
