30 injured in road accidents

RAJOURI, Apr 29: At least 30 persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Nowshera and Kandi area of district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that at least 24 persons were injured when a Tractor and bus collided near village Rah Siot on Jammu-Poonch highway in Sunderbani area today.
Reports said the tractor without registration number, loaded with sand was going to Bhambla and bus with registration number JK02E/ 3685 was going from Jammu to Rajouri. The impact of the collision was so powerful that tractor was broken into two parts.
The injured passengers were shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani for treatment. One of them later was referred to GMC Rajouri. The police has registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, in yet another road accident in Mandi area of Rajouri today six persons were injured.
The injured identified as Khurshida Begum, wife of Habib Shab, Sharda Begum, wife of Bashir Shah, Nazia Kousar, daughter of Bashir Shah; Shabir Shah, son of Qasim Shah; Ayoub Shah, son of Qasim Shah- all from Larkoti and Razia Begum, wife of Mohd Iqbal Shah from Samote sustained injuries and were evacuated to CHC Kandi for treatment. Two injured were later referred to GMC Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
