POONCH, July 9: The police rescued 31 bovines from the clutches of smugglers while foiling bid of smuggling cattle in Surankote area today.
Reports said on the direction of SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra teams headed by SHO Surankote, police parties Behramgalla and Poshana established nakas on Mughal Rioad. During checking police seized 6 vehicles bearing Reg. NOs. JK11B 4762, JK17 4102, JK11F 3412 , JK12A 4198, JK02/B 5525 & JK12A 3723 loaded with 31 bovines. They were on way towards Kashmir.
In this connection case FIRs 193, 195, 196,198, 199 & 202 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered at Police Station Surankote and investigation taken up.
