RAJOURI, Feb 29: The police in Peeri area of Rajouri worked out a case of theft of domestic animals and arrested three accused involved in the crime besides recovery of animals valuing over five lakhs.
A police official said that on February 25, person namely Ishfaq Ahmed, son of Mohd Aslam, resident of Chambitrar, Kotranka lodged a written complaint at Police Post Peeri and narrated that some persons have stolen his 31 sheep and goats from his house at Chambitrar.
Accordingly a case FIR No. 18/2024 U/Ss 457/380/34 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up by Incharge Police Post, Peeri, PSI Chander Kant under the supervision of SHO Kandi Shakeel Manhas.
During investigation, police team zeroed in on some leads and finally arrested three persons, who confessed their involvement in commission of crime.
On their disclosure 31 animals (23 sheep and 08 goats) valuing over five lakhs were recovered.
