32 bovines rescued, 3 arrested

SAMBA, Dec 27: Ghagwal Police rescued 32 bovine animals and arrested three cattle smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ghagwal Police Station intercepted Srinagar bound three trucks bearing registration numbers PB07AS-4469, JK22-9002 and PB29G-9497.
During checking, police team rescued 32 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested three persons, who were identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Gian Chand of Mukerian-Dhesian, Hoshiarpur, Feroz Ahmed Lone, son of Abdul Mogee of District Kulgam and Heera Lal, son of Balwant Rai of Camp Batala, Gurdaspur.
Cases under FIR Numbers 134/2020 and 135/2020 have been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
