JAMMU, Sept 11: Nagrota Police rescued 33 bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Police Station Nagrota rescued 18 bovine animals from a truck parked suspiciously near Khanpur without any owner. The driver of the vehicle had used the number of another vehicle.
Similarly, a team from Police Station Nagrota at Ban Toll Plaza rescued 15 bovine animals from an oil tanker bearing registration number JK02AE-6586 and arrested two persons, who were identified as Mohammad Sahil, son of Mohammad Ashraf of Malik Market Narwal Jammu and Sajjad Chowdhary, son of Mohammad Sadiq of District Poonch.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
The recovery and arrest were made by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
