Two school buses challaned

JAMMU, Mar 5: SSP Traffic (Rural) Jammu, Mohan Lal Kaith today launched special drive against violation of traffic rules in Kathua district.
The drive was launched against those not wearing crash helmets, seat belts and indulging in overloading besides the school buses, violating guidelines issued from time to time by the Traffic Police.
Two school buses were sealed, Kaith said, adding that a fine of over Rs 10,000 has been imposed on violators of traffic laws.
He said special instructions have once again been issued to all school authorities to follow guidelines concerning movement of school buses.
The SSP Traffic said 34 CCTVs have been issued to the Traffic Police Inspectors and they have been asked to challan the vehicles under surveillance of the cameras.
This, he added, has been done to maintain complete transparency during challans and maintenance of other Traffic Police guidelines.
Kaith said drive against violators of traffic rules will continue.
