REASI, Mar 16: 34 passengers were injured, some of them seriously, when an overloaded minibus turned turtle at Dhara Morh in Allya, under the jurisdiction of Ransoo Police Station, here this morning.

The minibus was on way to Pouni from Moughla in Rajouri district when it overturned, resulting into injuries to the passengers, mostly women, who were hospitalized.
Two children among nine injured persons were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment and 16 others were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Sunderbani, while the remaining nine were discharged after first-aid at PHC Teryath.
The 24-seater minibus, bearing registration number JK11-6395, was carrying more than 34 passengers and according to the victims, the vehicle was also over-speeding, which were the reasons for the accident.
Police have arrested driver of the minibus, identified as Satish Kumar of Rajouri. A case under relevant section of the law has been registered against him at Police Station Ransoo.
The accident took place around 11:30 AM, this morning and the locals were first to reach the spot., With the help of Police team, led by SHO Ransoo, Lalit Sharma, locals and staff of PHC Teryath shifted the injured to hospital.
Those referred to GMC Hospital Jammu, included Goutam (6 yrs), son of Sunil Kumar of Keri Teryath; Sapna Devi (25), wife of Vicky Sharma of Allya; Kamlesh Kumar (40), wife of Kewal Singh of Moghla; Balwant Raj (54), son of Munshi Ram of Moghla; Subash Singh (44), son of Sant Ram of Moghla; Anjali Sharma (20), daughter of Ajay Kumar of Moghla Chanchlo Devi (60), wife of Puran Singh of Moghla; Rafaqat Ali (25), son of Abdul Shakoor of Jungerial and Babli Devi (29), wife of Sunil Kumar of Keri Teryath.
Condition of all the injured was stated to be stable and out of danger. Ganesh Kumar, Guddo Devi, Reeta Devi, Moni Devi, Bimla Devi, Mamta Devi, Manju Devi, Anju Devi, raj Kumar, Kisho Devi, Chanchlo Devi, Shakeela Bano, Pushpa Devi, Kamla Devi, Farzana and Balvir Singh were undergoing treatment at SDH Sunderbani.
