JAMMU, Nov 27: The 340th edition of Vijeshwar Panchang (Almanac) for the year 2024-25 was released at a simple but impressive function held at Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsangh Ashram, Muthi today.
The Panchang a comprehensive religious granth was released by Swami Kumar Ji in presence of Pt. Omkar Nath Shastri, editor in chief of the Panchang and a well known scholar of Shastras, Jyotshi Bushan Lal Shastri, Jyotshi Avtar Krishan Shastri and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Kumar Ji said the Panchang published by Jyotshi Parivar besides an almanac is a complete religious granth which is possessed by every Kashmiri Pandit family either in India or abroad.

It kept the ancient culture of Kashmir alive and this is a great service of the Vijeshwar Panchang to the community. He also highlighted the role of past editor of the Panchang Late Pt Prem Nath Shastri whom he termed a great reformative religious scholar.
