SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Horticulture and Agriculture, Javed Ahmad Dar said that adequate diagnostic, blood bank, operation theatre, kitchen and laundry facilities have been made available in newly constructed 100 bed hospital at Bhaderwah , adding that residential quarters for doctors and paramedics staff are being constructed to ensure round the clock availability of medicare facilities to the patients at one location.
The Minister was replying to a calling attention moved Naresh Kumar Gupta today.
The Minister said that 6 Specialists and 5 medical officers have been posted in the hospital against the sanctioned strength of 17 and 18 posts respectively while remaining posts have been referred to recruiting agencies for selection. He said vacant posts will be filled up as soon as selection panel is received from recruiting agencies.
Mr Javed said that one MBBS doctor and 7 paramedics have also been engaged in the hospital. “It will not be possible to run the hospital at both the locations (new and old buildings) as this may result under functioning and create problems for the patients and public, the Minister maintained.
