RAJOURI, Jan 31: Sleuths of Excise Department from Rajouri-Poonch Range, conducted raids at different locations in Rajouri district and recovered 50 liters of illicit liquor and destroyed 350 kgs of Lahan on the spot.
Official sources said that the team led by Inspector Dr Sajad Majid, under the supervision of ETO , Rajouri–Poonch Range, Varinder Singh Pawar conducted raids at Dabbar, Brari, Daryalia, Seri, Syal, Arian, Chungus and Nowshera today and arrested four persons under Excise Act. The team destroyed two working stills and 350 kg lahan on the spot and seized 50 ltrs of Desi liquor.
Those arrested were identified as –Shamsher Lal, son of Sat Paul, Bholla Ram, son of Gian Chand-both residents of Seri, Veena Devi and Bedia Devi, both residents of Dabbar
