JAMMU, Mar 18: The 35th Jat Sanskriti Sammelan, a prestigious cultural event showcasing the rich heritage of the Jat community organized in Bijnor District, Uttar Pradesh was held here today.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Ch Manmohan Singh, President of All India Jat Maha Sabha (AIJMS), Jammu and Kashmir, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Justice R.A Singh, former Judge High Court, Rajendra Singh, Information Commissioner UP, Siddharth Singh, Commissioner, SK Verma, Harpal Singh and other prominent members of the Community graced the occasion.
During his address, Ch Manmohan Singh emphasized the significance of familiarizing the new generation with the values and traditions of Jat culture.
He stressed the importance of preserving and promoting the timeless customs that define the Jat community’s identity.
Ch Manmohan highlighted the need to uphold the sacred institution of inter-caste marriages and encouraged the utmost respect for elders and parents.
He emphasized that our collective identity lies in practicing patriotism and fostering a strong sense of unity among all members of society. Ch Manmohan also urged community children to respect and obey their parents, recognizing the invaluable wisdom and guidance they provide. This call for parental respect struck a chord with the audience, highlighting the deep-rooted values that define the Jat community.
Later, the dignitaries released a calendar dedicated to Ch Manmohan Singh for his contributions to the community.
