JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Mar 2: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 36 COVID positive cases while Ladakh recorded 29 positives, all in Leh district. Kargil district became Corona-free with no active case.
Eighteen cases each were registered in Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
Eleven cases were reported from Jammu district, five in Doda and one each in Reasi and Rajouri. Six districts didn’t report any COVID positive cases which include Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban.
Eighty seven recoveries were reported in Jammu division bringing down number of active positive cases to 306.
Leh district in the UT of Ladakh reported 29 fresh COVID positive cases.
While Kargil didn’t report any new cases, all infected persons recovered making the district COVID-free.
Ladakh now has 144 active positive cases, all in Leh district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 18 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 13 from Srinagar, 1 from Baramulla, 2 from Budgam and 2 from Kupwara.
With fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 287,095 including 284,451 recoveries and 2,423 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 527 including 221 from Kashmir division.
With 123 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,813 which is 98.84 percent of the total cases.
