Jammu : With an aim to provide an opportunity to the signers of the state to explore their talents, the programme titled “Choona Hai Aasman “ is regular initiative of J&K Police carried out under Civic Action Programmes and this is the 5th Season of the event held at Police Auditorium Jammu here today.
Director General of Police, J&K Mr K. Rajendra Kumar, IPS, was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while other personalities Divisional Commissioner Jammu Mr. Pawan Kotwal –IAS, Mr Suraj Singh, Mr. Ravi Sharma and Mrs. Renu Sehgal grace the occasion.
The Talent Hunt presentation “Chhoona Hai Aasman” initiated in the year 2010 with the objective to search for hidden Talent among the youth especially in far flung areas of Jammu Province.
In this Zonal Level Talent “Chhoona Hai Aasman Season-5” in which winners from Range Level Talent held recently took part in today’s programme. Total 27 singers (Male and female) from all 4 ranges of Jammu zone took part in the event of Solo songs .
In Junior Male Category, the first place was bagged by Master Karan Kumar second place in this category was bagged by Master Shoyab Kandroo and third places was bagged by Master Danish Khursheed .
Similarly , in junior Female Category , the first place was bagged by Varsha Jamwal, second place in this category was bagged by Aashi Kailash and third places was bagged Riya Manhas.
In senior Male Category, the first place was bagged by Mr. Surinder Kumar the second was bagged by Mr. Raman Salathia and third place went to Mr. Aisaan Asgar.
Similarly, in senior Female Category, the first place was bagged by Miss Sushmeta while, while the second was bagged by Miss Urmila Devi and third place went to Miss Mehak Gupta .
On the occasion the Chief Guest distributed the prizes among the winners of this event by awarded Trophy along with certificate and cash worth Rs 15000/- Rs.10000 /-and 5000 /-each . Moreover, the chief guest in his address thanked the Zonal headquarter and participants and assured that the best efforts will be done for the winners of both zones for the state level competition.
Earlier, this programme started with the welcome address by IGP Jammu Mr. Danesh Rana –IPS who highlighted the importance of the function and welcome all the august gathering.
The programme was organized by Zonal Police Headquarter Jammu under the overall supervision of IGP Jammu Zone, Mr. Danesh Rana –IPS and the vote of thanks presented by Sh. Ashkoor Wani –IPS ,DIG of Police JKS Range.
The programme was witnessed by the Sr. Officers of the police department/civil administration, the members of the PAWWA, Retired Police officers, prominent citizens and college students.
The programme was anchored by Mr Ashish Gupta and Ms. Anjusha Sharma.
It is pertinent to mention that the winners of last four years Chhoona Hai Aasman have already earned name and fame at the National level singing competitions
The winners of Zonal Level competitions shall move forward to the state level competitions called GRAND FINALE where constants from both the Zones, viz Kashmir Zone and Jammu Zone shall compete to each other.
